Applications for the V d’Or 2025 are now closed.
The next application period will open in September 2025 for the 2026 edition.

Who can apply?

Applications are free and open to all professionals – producers, brands, marketing boards, agencies, suppliers of dry goods and services, etc. –, around the world. Projects presented must have been implemented, announced or achieved significant results after 1st January of the previous year.

Best Sustainability V d'Or

The world of wine and spirits is experiencing the effects of climate change first-hand. It has a responsibility and a duty to ensure a sustainable future that can reconcile economic performance – to guarantee the viability of its businesses – and environmental performance in order to safeguard the fragile ecosystems it depends upon.
The Best Sustainability V d’Or is awarded to an interprofessional organization, a group, an individual, a company, a brand, a winery or a distillery providing one or more innovative solutions to meet the environmental challenges facing the wine and spirits sector.
To be eligible for the 2025 Best Sustainability V d’Or, applicants must have launched their project or achieved convincing results since 1 January 2023.

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Best Education & Knowledge Sharing V d'Or

The future of the world of wine and spirits hinges on the ability of sector stakeholders to share their knowledge and train others. Disseminating innovations, reviving and safeguarding forgotten skills, inspiring dreams, encouraging career interests and passing on passions are all ways of leveraging collective efforts by professionals, executives and committed, informed consumers around wines and spirits.
The Best Education & Knowledge Sharing V d’Or is awarded to an interprofessional organization, a group, an individual, a company, a brand, a winery or a distillery that provides a programme or a scheme committed to mentorship, education and skill transfer within the world of wine and spirits.
To be eligible for the 2025 Best Education & Knowledge Sharing V d’Or, applicants must have launched their project or achieved convincing results since 1 January 2023.

DECLINING CONSUMPTION

Best Digital Strategy V d'Or

The overall decrease in alcohol consumption, particularly in producer countries and among young people, undermines growth and ultimately the survival of the wine and spirits sector. The advent of new media and influencers and the resultant communications strategies have a pivotal role to play in recruiting new consumers.
The Best Digital Strategy V d’Or is awarded to an interprofessional organization, a group, an individual, a company, a brand, a winery or a distillery for the execution of a high-performance digital strategy which reaches out to new audiences or taps into new markets.
To be eligible for the 2025 Best Digital Strategy V d’Or, applicants must have launched their strategy or achieved convincing results since 1 January 2023.

CHANGING CONSUMER TASTES

Best New Product Strategy V d'Or

Due partly to globalisation, consumer tastes are changing at a rate that is constantly increasing and sometimes occur in unexpected ways, compelling producers and marketers to adapt and innovate.
The Best New Product Strategy V d’Or is awarded to a brand, a winery or a distillery rolling out an innovative strategy aimed at a new product launch that responds to changing consumer tastes.
To be eligible for the 2025 Best New Product Strategy V d’Or, applicants must have launched their strategy or achieved convincing results since 1 January 2023.
