Our pledge to become
Events challenges are at the core of what we do, which is why Vinexposium has signed the international Net Zero Carbon Events initiative and thus committed to organising events that continually ramp up their environmental responsibility and sustainable credentials.
The aim is to reduce our CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030 and to become carbon neutral by 2050.
Measuring carbon footprint determines
appropriate actions
OUR CALCULATION METHOD BY GREEN EVENEMENTS
We measure our carbon footprint but also that of all stakeholders (event venue, exhibitors, partners etc..) to get a clear picture of the strategy needed to become carbon neutral by 2050. Then we roll out tailored actions for as many emission categories as possible and aim to offset other categories using negative impact projects like long-term carbon sequestering solutions.

OUR KEY ACTIONS
Collecting and re-using resources
Vinexposium implements practical actions with committed partners to promote the circular economy for resources used during our events.
We organise the collection of empty glass bottles so that we no longer recycle them but rather wash and re-use them.
Unconsumed alcoholic liquids are turned into biofuel, thus helping to reduce our environmental impact.

Collecting and re-using resources
We collect corks and donate the proceeds to the Agir Cancer association.
We encourage exhibitors and provide them with solutions so that their stand structures can be re-used and donated to associations promoting sustainability.
We provide glass rental and washing services to our exhibitors.
Unconsumed alcoholic liquids are turned into biofuel, thus helping to reduce our environmental impact.
Raising awareness among stakeholders
These measures are aimed primarily at minimising waste across-the-board and encouraging a culture of sustainability among all participants.
We educate and inform exhibitors and visitors about the eco-friendly choices they can make before, during and after the Wine Paris exhibition. Ultimately, the medium will be rolled out across all exhibitions through specific responsible actions.
For example, we encourage support for exhibitors so that they can design eco-friendly stands and get their materials collected by associations.

Waste recycling and reduction
We have made a pledge to significantly reduce the waste produced during our events, such as:
- layouts designed with recycled materials,
- re-used at several exhibitions and then subsequently recycled
- a reduction in the use of carpets
- a reduction in the number of printed visitor guides
We are extremely mindful to ensure that waste is sorted so that it can be recycled by our partners
Our partner Adelphe’s mission is primarily to help French wine and spirits companies of all sizes reduce the impact of their packaging and paper on the environment, anticipate French and European packaging regulations and provide them with support for their overall CSR approaches.
Our partner therefore helps us re-use empty glass bottles.
